UTSI team honored for best paper of '04

A technical paper by a team from the UT Space Institute has been chosen the best AIAA paper for 2004 by the solid rockets technical committee of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
Recognized for their research and presentation were Gary Flandro and Joseph Majdalani, professors at UTSI; Sean Fischbach, a graduate research assistant; and UTSI alumnus Jonathan French.
The paper was titled "Nonlinear Rocket Motor Stability Prediction: Limit Amplitude, Triggering and Mean Pressure Shift." It was unanimously chosen as the top paper at the AIAA's 40th joint propulsion conference in Fort Lauderdale in 2004. Learn more.
