Recent NSF awards of interest

• Vena Long in theory and practice in teacher education has received $1,999,686, as a continuation of the ACCLAIM project: Appalachian Collaborative Center for Learning, Assessment, and Instruction in Mathematics.



• Ziling Xue in chemistry has been awarded $135,000 for a one-year project titled "Probing Novel Reactivities of Transition Metal Complexes and Mechanistic Pathways in the Formation of Microelectronic Materials."



• Jack Dongarra in computer science has been awarded $675,000 for a three-year project titled "SCI: Benchmarking and Performance Analysis for HPCS."



• Jerzy Dydak in mathematics has been awarded $25,000 toward a project titled "International Topology Conference Bedlewo 2005, Bedlewo, Poland."



• Conrad Plaut in mathematics has been awarded $623,683 for a three-year continuing project titled "EMSW21-MCTP: The University of Tennessee Math Honors Program."
