Two win NEH support for summer study

For the second year in a row, two UT professors in the humanities have received Summer Stipend awards from the National Endowment for the Humanities. Stephen Blackwell in modern foreign languages and literatures will study the relationship between science and art in the career of Vladimir Nabokov, who wrote the novels Lolita and Pale Fire. Michael Kulikowski in history is studying 4th-century changes in the definition of Roman citizenship and their implications for the decline of the western Roman Empire.
