Office of Research to coordinate THEC proposals

The Office of Research will coordinate University of Tennessee submissions to the Tennessee Office of Higher Education's statewide 2005 Improving Teacher Quality request for proposals. THEC is awarding capacity-building grants of up to $150,000 and general grants of up to $75,000.

THEC limits UT to 10 proposals. Faculty interested in submitting proposals should notify Barbara Craddock (craddock@utk.edu) with a copy to Arlene Garrison (garrison@utk.edu) no later than noon, Thursday, 11 August 2005 of their intent to propose. If more than 10 UT notices of intent are received, the Office of Research will hold an internal competition to determine which 10 submissions will be authorized. In case of an internal competition, submissions must follow the UT Guidelines for Mini-Proposals for Internal Reviews on Limited Submission Grants.
